My Hero Academia loves to give you a little taste of what you want to see leaving you wanting to see more.
My Hero Academia episode 91, on two separate occasions, gives us a little peek into into storylines that we can expect to see more of later in the season. Like any good story, we’re not given the main course right up front. We obviously have to wait and see what happens as the season unfolds. That just makes me wish that the entire season was released at the same time.
The two pieces of the story that I’m referring to are Midoriya’s interaction with the vestiges of One For All and Shinso’s fight to become part of the Hero Course. Both are important in their own way. Obviously Midoriya’s dream involving his predecessors and One For All’s past is more important to the overall story, but Shinso’s reintroduction here could have a major impact in the immediate future.
However you want to look at it, My Hero Academia episode 91 is an anime episode that does a good job of making us want to see more. Whether you want to see Midoriya figure out more about One For All or you want to see some good action, we know we can expect to see more.
Personally I enjoyed watching the moments with Midoriya learning more about his quirk. After My Hero Academia got past the dream and window shattering moment that we’ve now seen for the third time, things got more interesting. I did find it a little unnecessary that we had to watch the dream yet again. I realize the first time was in season 4, but I think we get the point by now.
The fact that Midoriya had more interaction with One For All than even All Might did is an interesting turn of events. Does this mean that Izuku Midoriya is a more skilled user or has more potential with One For All than All Might did? Is Midoriya’s theory about One For All and the quirk singularity doomsday theory on point?
As I just mentioned, My Hero Academia gives us all these questions without giving us the answers. We’ll just have to wait until season 5 progresses to find out. Episode 91’s attention quickly turns to Shinso and him joining the training exercise that day.
This is probably the most exciting part for most of the audience. It’s Class 1-A against Class 1-B. Each class is to be broken up into teams of four and the goal is to capture the opposing team. Shinso will be participating as an extra member for one team on each side.
This is the kind of thing that I believe makes My Hero Academia so interesting to watch. Because of the variance of the quirks, there’s no telling exactly how the battles are going to go. It’s easy to assume that Class 1-A will wipe the floor with Class 2-B, but that’s not necessarily going to be the case. Class 2-B has been shown to be pretty competent in their own right.
The excitement for the exercise ramps up even more after we get a look at Shinso’s equipment in action. We know from the Sports Festival that he has the ability to brainwash someone if they speak to him. That gives anyone who knows about Shinso’s quirk the advantage of knowing all they have to do is to not engage him in conversation.
To combat that, My Hero Academia gave Shinso a piece of equipment that allows him to change his voice as needed. He can mimic someone else’s voice and use that as a trap to ensnare his target. That’s very innovative!
Is My Hero Academia Episode 91 Worth Watching?
Yes. My Hero Academia episode 91 is worth watching. I didn’t want it to end. I wanted to just go on to the next episode right away so I could see what happens next. All I know right now is that I’ll be looking forward to Saturday mornings at 5:30 a.m. when the new episode comes out on Crunchyroll’s site. It’s almost made me completely forget that Jujutsu Kaisen season 1 has finished airing.
My Hero Academia Episode 92 Preview
The battle heats up between the two teams that kicked off the training exercise. From the sound of it, the team from Class B has control of the situation and is slowly pushing back the team from Class A. We’re given the line “Shinso’s new ability, Persona Chords, controls the fight!” That leads me to believe that he’ll be all over the map disrupting Class B’s march to victory.
It looks like My Hero Academia episode 92 is going to be mainly action, and that’s perfectly fine with me. It’s always fun to see the different quirks in action. I can’t wait to see what we get next week!
Now go watch some anime!
