Who knew that meetings could be so interesting? I’ve been in a job before where we would joke that meetings would lead to meetings which then would end up creating more meetings. As you might guess, I hate meetings and I think anyone who’s worked in a corporate job would agree. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Episode 38 managed to make two meetings a lot more enjoyable!
Where can I watch That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Episode 38?
This is one of the more interesting searches I’ve had. If you’ve been following any of my other recent anime reviews, you’ll notice that I typically find two solid options here. Every now and then I’ll review an anime that is only available on one site. For That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, the only place that I was able to find episode 38 readily available was Crunchyroll.
I guess you could say that you could go watch it over at VRV, but that site has the anime courtesy of Crunchyroll. What I found to be really interesting is that Funimation has That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime but they don’t have the most recent episodes. They only go up to episode 36.
I guess what I’m saying here is that if you want to watch the most recent episodes of this anime then you need to go over to Crunchyroll. You can still watch most of the anime at the other sites if you want.

What did you think of the story in episode 38?
To be short, we were being set up for the coming fight. The two sides are getting organized and making their plans for the future. It should lead to some pretty epic fights between the Demon Lords. Then there should be an ultimate fight between Rimuru and Yuuki Kagurazaka.
That’s right! We’re introduced to the main antagonist in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime episode 38. He’s the one pulling the strings behind everything and as of right now, Rimuru is caught up in Yuuki’s scheming. It’ll be interesting to see how Veldora’s reintroduction plays into all of this.
The way in which Veldora was reintroduced to the world was pretty good. I’m a sucker for extremely powerful anime characters just popping in and surprising everyone. I love watching the reactions of characters like Gazel Dwargo or Elalude. These are some of the moments that I can go back and watch over and over.
What did That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime episode 38 get right?
I really appreciate the political scheming and posturing that takes place in episode 38. Rimuru is lucky that he has some good friends in Gazel and Elalude to help him. If that were not the case, I’m not sure Tempest would be able to survive. If there’s one thing I was able to take away from this episode it’s that Rimuru is almost too nice to be a leader of a major country.
Just think about it, Rimuru is overly appreciative of his subordinates to the point where he’s almost tripping over himself at times trying to make them feel good. To add to that, Rimuru is also a little too willing to talk openly with other world leaders. Sometimes less is more, especially when you’re in charge. I can see why Rimuru was only a middle manager in his past life.
I can’t help but think about what’s going to happen now that both sides to this conflict have started to formulate their plans. What role will Veldora play? How will Rimuru’s new Demon Lord abilities change things? What’s Yuuki after? Will the other Demon Lords come after Rimuru? There’s just too much left unanswered right now and it’s driving me crazy.
Was there anything else that caught your attention?
Not really. Since the majority of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime episode 38 was consumed with the behind the scenes, not much else made me think twice. I just hope we get to see Veldora blow people’s minds again, but that’s just for my own selfish reasons.
What did episode 38 get wrong?
There wasn’t anything particularly wrong with what went on in this anime episode. At least, there wasn’t anything that was glaringly obvious. I’m sure a more seasoned critic could come up with something but from my perspective nothing stood out.
That’s not to say that I’m going to say that this was the best anime episode of all time. It’s not. The purpose of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime episode 38 was to set the stage for things to come. It accomplished that and now we have to wait for the action to come. I’d categorize episode 38 as more of a necessity to watch if you want to understand the story of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
Is That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime episode 38 worth watching?
As I just said, if you want to understand the story of this anime then you need to watch episode 38. I enjoyed watching it for what it was. You’re not going to get any major fights or heroic conquests in this one. I walked away with a ton of questions and an interest to see what’s going to come next. If that’s what you’re looking for, then check out That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime episode 38. I know I wasn’t disappointed.
