Of course Iruma, Asmodeus and Clara would end up being dem-dols.
Is it just me or did everything just work out a little too perfectly in Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun episode 22? You mean to tell me that three untrained amateurs could keep a crowd numbering in the tens of thousands entertained? I don’t buy it.
It’s anime though, so I guess anything is possible. Iruma, Asmodeus and Clara dress up as dem-dols and go on stage. It doesn’t take long for them to win over the crowd. They apparently naturals. Either that or the standards in the netherworld are pretty low. I’m not acquainted with typical idol crowd so I don’t know how easily entertained they are.
One thing I’m glad about after watching this episode is that the whole dem-dol story is over with. It hasn’t been a highlight of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun season 1. I’d rather just skip over these two episodes and pretend that they never happened.
It’s possible that I just don’t get the appeal of an idol in the first place. I don’t see how fawning over a young performer who’s knowingly manufactured by a talent agency is worth while. Idols are just created to take your money, that’s it. I’d rather spend my time and money on something else.
I suppose if you enjoy watching idols you’ll get a kick out of watching Iruma, Asmodeus and Clara play with the crowd. They do the standard fare of acting innocent, mischievous and flirtatious. I was mildly entertained but it was more because of the ridiculousness of it all.
It was nice to see that Keroli’s family does actually care for her. That’s on par for pretty much this entire anime. Besides Kiriwo’s family, we haven’t really seen a demon family that’s been actually cruel. I wonder if Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun season 2 will have more evil demons make an appearance?
Is Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Episode 22 Worth Watching?
After watching it again I’ll say that this will be the last time for me. I don’t want to watch any more of dem-dols performing. You might be entertained by this but I suspect that this episode is geared toward a specific crowd. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with you if you do like it, I’m just saying it’s not my taste.
With only one episode left to go I can say that I’ve enjoyed this watch-through of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun season 1. Season 2 will be coming out shortly so I’ll be looking forward to it. There’s been enough here that makes this anime worth picking up if you’re in the mood for a comedy. If that’s what you’re looking for give it a try!
Now go watch some anime!
