Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Season 2 Episode 12 Review

As down as I was about episode 11, I actually enjoyed watching Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun season 2 episode 12. Why? Because there’s something about Kalego sensei’s relationship with the Misfit Class that I like. He may be a harsh teacher, but Kalego knows his students well. It was also fun to see Opera harass his old classmate, but that’s a different discussion.

Where can I watch Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun season 2 episode 12?

Currently, this anime airs on Crunchyroll. I found some other sites that will let you stream it but it appears that they do so with Crunchyroll’s permission. Meaning that Crunchyroll’s name is all over the anime.

From my perspective, why would you not go to the source then? I already had a subscription so it took nothing extra for me to get access to it. My recommendation is if you want to watch Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun season 2 episode 12, go ahead and get a Crunchyroll subscription and have at it.

How would you rate the story in season 2 episode 12?

Make no mistake, this was a stand alone anime episode. The sole purpose of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun season 2 episode 12 was to get us to laugh at Kalego’s misery. Opera used the favor that Sullivan owed him to make Kalego do home visits. This meant that Opera purposefully forced Kalego to visit Sullivan’s home so he could torment his old classmate.

All of the other home visits are just icing on the cake. They’re also fairly predictable if you’re in any way familiar with the anime. Clara’s family breaks out into song, Asmodeus’s family is just as devoted to him as he is to Iruma, Jazz’s brother is just like Jazz and so on. I didn’t count but it felt like there were a few marriage proposals in there as well. I know Shax’s sister was definitely one of those.

Of course the most time Kalego was shown at any one house was when he visited Iruma. We got to learn a little bit about Opera’s past, which was nice. We also got to see just how insightful Kalego is as a teacher. He may be cruel and strict at times, but the homeroom teacher for the Misfit Class really does know his students.

I’d say that overall Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun season 2 episode 12 does a good job of giving us more information on the characters involved. There weren’t any major developments on Iruma or his future, but we got to see his relationship with his teacher become a little deeper.

What did Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun season 2 episode 12 get right?

Personally, I really enjoyed watching Kalego suffer through the home visits. None of them were anything cruel, except for the time that Kalego was forced to be around Opera. Kalego just has to deal with personalities that drove him crazy, just like at school. The only time you really feel sorry for Kalego is when he’s being bullied by Opera.

Kalego visiting Clara's family

The other highlight of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun season 2 episode 12 is the hint at trouble to come. I was critical of episode 11 in part because I felt like there was nothing that tied it in to the larger story. Episode 12 was in danger of doing the same thing until the very end. As the anime episode started to wrap up, the narrator drops a line that there will be trouble to come at the amusement park.

Now I’ve got something to look forward to as the second season wraps up. What could possibly go wrong at an amusement part made for demons? For a human like Iruma, I’m sure the list could go on for days. Now I want to know what challenge Iruma will have to overcome. Finally, something I can wonder about!

What did episode 12 get wrong?

Opera’s behavior was a little cringe worthy. It made me think that Kalego was abused by Opera during their days at school. I didn’t think that Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun season 2 episode 12 would go that route. From what we saw back in season 1, I thought Opera was just going to be shown as a demon who’s more powerful than Kalego.

The fact that Opera wanted to do some strange things to Kalego is a really uncomfortable sight, especially in this day and age. It’s not something that I particularly enjoy to watch. I hope that it doesn’t continue.

Is Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun season 2 episode 12 worth watching?

I enjoyed Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun season 2 episode 12. Even the part with Clara’s family wasn’t that bad. I didn’t even mention that we got to meet her older brother. He’s the black sheep of the family. Clara’s brother is responsible and respectful, the opposite of all of the other Valacs.

Episode 12 provides enough entertainment that I think most audiences will be entertained. I definitely think this anime episode is a step in the right direction. Now I’m interested in what episode 13 is going to give us!

Iruma and his friends are off to Walter park. It looks suspiciously like Disney’s Magic Kingdom in Orlando, FL. If it’s just the netherworld version of the most magical place on Earth then I’m sure Iruma will have lots of fun. There doesn’t appear to be any sign of what’s going to happen at Walter park that’s going to direct the path of the rest of the anime. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

From what I can tell, Iruma is just going to have a bunch of fun with the others in his class. Ameri is going to be there and she and Iruma might have some awkward moments. I wish I could say more about the preview but there just isn’t that much there to say.

Now go watch some anime!
