Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun Season 2 Episode 13 Review

An old enemy is back! Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun Season 2 Episode 13 brings back Amy Kiriwo. If you don’t remember, he’s the one who tried to rain death and destruction down on Babyls. Now he’s back trying to destroy the Netherworld’s version of Disney World, Walter Park. Kiriwo’s plan coincides perfectly with Iruma and friends’ visit to the park. This should be interesting!

Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun Season 2 Episode 12 Review

Where can I watch Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 13?

You can watch this anime episode over at Crunchyroll. It’s been the only place that I’ve been able to legitimately find it. I’m sure you can go to other, less reputable sites that will have it, but they could end up giving your computer a virus.

If you don’t want to have to pay a subscription to see Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 13 then you’ll have to wait a week. You’ll also have to sit through commercials if you do this but it’s not that bad. The bigger problem is that you have to wait knowing that a new episode is out.

What did you think of the story in episode 13?

Overall I’m glad that a larger story gets introduced. We’ve been given a few episodes that have basically been stand alone adventures. It’s actually been one of my complaints here recently. With nothing really going on it lessens the effect of the anime. How am I supposed to get invested in a story when there really isn’t one going on?

That all changes here. Now we finally get a story that can play out over the rest of the second season. It even involves the main antagonist from the previous season. With a bigger plot that involves a lot more danger, I hope that things will finally start to pick up.

You’re happy, that’s great. What actually happened in the story?

Iruma and friends finally made it to Walter Park. It’s Iruma’s first time away for an extended period of time so Sullivan sent Opera, Kalego and Balaam to watch over his beloved grandson. What this does, though, is ensured that the students from the Misfit Class couldn’t enjoy the trip as much as they would’ve.

Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 13 - Opera, Balaam and Kalego

It’s a nice touch to the story. I’d say it’s fairly standard as well. From the main character’s perspective, Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 13 is nothing that should shock anyone. Most of the interest will come from what’s happening behind the scenes.

Reintroducing Ronove Romiere here is perfect. He’s annoying, yes, but Ronove provides some insight into the inner workings for Walter Park. The revelation that the mana that runs the park is supplied by the inmates of the prison beneath their feet is appropriate. How else would a netherworld prison operate?

Ronove also helps tie everything together. With his presence, the inmates plot to escape makes sense. Ronove does have a necklace full of keys and access to everywhere in the park. He’s also the tie in for Iruma. I’ll be interested to see how it all works out!

What did Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 13 get right?

The main part I enjoyed was the revelation that prisoners from the underground prison, Uraboras, power Walter Park. It’s just appropriate for the netherworld. Why wouldn’t a society of demons force their outcasts to power something for the amusement of others? It just makes sense.

Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 13 - Amy Kiriwo

It doesn’t hurt that this form of oppression is going to play into the chaos that’s going to come. Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 13 makes sure that we know this. Amy Kiriwo and his group are going to try to bring the netherworld society down by destroying one of the netherworld’s favorite relaxation destinations. Why not have that be done by a bunch of deranged demons?

Was there anything else?

I did like watching the students deal with their chaperones. Kalego is the killjoy that no one wants to get stuck with. Most of the class wants to either be partnered up with Iruma or not under Kalego’s watch. It’s a nice little bit of high school life that will appeal to most audiences.

It’s also fun to see Iruma enjoy himself so much at Walter Park. I know he’s had a pretty easy go of things since coming to the netherworld, but he does deserve all of the enjoyment he’s been getting. Iruma is just a nice person who deserves the best. There’s no other way to describe him. Watching Iruma take joy in every little thing at Walter Park just makes you happy.

What did Season 2 Episode 13 get wrong?

I don’t really have any big complaints with what went on in episode 13. It would be nice to see someone other than Amy Kiriwo be presented as the main bad guy, but he’s probably the most twisted character in the whole anime. Perhaps we’ll get to see a little bit more of his group, the Musashino Crew.

Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 13 - The Musashiro Crew's plan

There are a lot of silly moments in Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 13, but that’s part of this anime’s charm. It might not appeal to an older audience. I will say this, it doesn’t feel like Iruma and friends go too far. Everything seems to make sense within the context of the story.

Is Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 13 worth watching?

If you’re a fan of this anime then yes, season 2 episode 13 is worth watching. We finally get to see what’s going to drive the narrative for the rest of the season. We learn that the inmates of the prison that powers Walter Park are going to escape. On top of that, the same group that tried to destroy Babyls is going to try to do the same thing to the park.

There are now a lot of things we can look forward to. Amy Kiriwo and Iruama are bound to meet again. Opera, Balaam and Kalego are in a position where they might get to show off just how strong they are.

Ronove Romiere's necklace of keys

Finally, I think that Ronove Romiere might end up getting betrayed. Kiriwo mentions they have someone on the outside willing to help. Ronove is running around Walter Park carrying all sorts of keys. It only makes sense that someone who knows this, like the family servant leading him around, would betray Ronove. I’ll just have to wait and see if that prediction is accurate.

Now go and watch some anime!
