Is Iruma eight? Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 14 sure made it look like he was. I get that this is the first time that Iruma has gone to an amusement park but at least pretend that he’s a teenager. He’ll have to grow up fast considering what happened at the end of the episode.
Where can I watch Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 14?
The only legitimate place that I’ve found this anime is at Crunchyroll. I guess you can also watch it over at VRV if you’ve got a subscription there. VRV gets some of it’s content courtesy of Crunchyroll so I’ve never been tempted to join there though. Why subscribe to something that’s supplied by a site I’m already subscribed to?
If you don’t want to subscribe to a site to watch this anime episode, you’ll just have to wait until next week. Crunchyroll makes it’s newly airing anime free after a week, you just have to sit through some commercial breaks. If you want to watch it right away then you’ll have to pay up. It’s worth it for the bigger, more popular anime. I wouldn’t do it just for this one.
How did you like the story here in episode 14?
Before I really get into the rest of the review, I just want to say “I called it!” I knew there was something off with Ronove’s attendant. His reveal as the leader of the Six Fingers was about as obvious a twist as possible. Sorry, now back to the main review of this episode.
There wasn’t anything here that hasn’t been done before. High school students having a competition to have the most fun? Seen that. One group held back by a killjoy member? Seen that too. Fun group day ruined by the arrival of an evil organization? Yes, once again that’s pretty standard.
That doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy what Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 14 had to offer. No, I wasn’t gripping my seat with anticipation over what was going to happen next. I just sat back and enjoyed watching each group try to win the competition.
The girls went and got a makeover, Kalego’s group tried to find some way to squeeze some fun out of the trip and Iruma was putting them all to shame with his sheer enjoyment. Iruma got so excited that he ended up wandering into the one area of the park that more resembled an underground black market than a park. Why does that place even exist?
Why did it matter so much?
That’s one thing I found to be pretty ridiculous. Iruma wandered into a sketchy part of the park and wound up having more fun after meeting up with a complete stranger. The woman that saved Iruma ended up being one of the Six Fingers, the demon group that initiated the attack at the end of the episode.
Why would a member of the Six Fingers have anything to do with Iruma? I guess there’s the tie in with Amy Kiriwo, but that’s a little far fetched at this point. Wouldn’t the Six Fingers be more motivated to let Iruma meet his end rather than save him? I just don’t get it.
What did Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 14 get right?
I actually enjoyed watching Opera’s group get a makeover. I know that should go against all of my predetermined preferences, being a mid-30 something husband and father of two, but I had fun watching the girls bond. They appeared to be having a lot of fun and I found it just as fun to watch.
Before you start accusing me of some perverted stuff, just know that I’ve voiced my opposition to fanservice on more than one occasion. Just go read any of my reviews of How Not to Summon a Demon Lord. I don’t think you could really classify this as fanservice either.
The other part of Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 14 that I particularly enjoyed was the arrival of the magical beasts at the end. There needed to be some sort of major event that happened. It feels like the last few episodes have been a little listless. There didn’t appear to be a main focus for the anime. Now it has one.
What did episode 14 get wrong?
Like I mentioned a little bit earlier, I wasn’t a fan of how convenient things worked out for Iruma. I know he has incredible luck and always seems to get out of tough situations, but this is a little too much. You mean to tell me that Iruma just happens to be saved by one of the people that’s there to destroy Walter Park?
I’ve been pretty accepting of what Iruma’s been able to get away with in this anime, but Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 14 is just a bit too much. Iruma’s luck is too good to be believed here.
Is Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 14 worth watching?
I think so, if you like to watch anime like this. It’s my light-hearted anime guilty pleasure. I typically wouldn’t go for an anime like this but there’s something about Iruma and his friends that draws me in. Episode 14 has enough of that to make me recommend it for those of you who appreciate anime like this. It may not be one you like, and if not you should probably stay away. Leave it to those of us who get a kick out of it.
Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 2 episode 15 preview
With magical beasts rampaging through Walter Park it’s up to Iruma’s crew to either stop them or escape. Knowing Iruma, he’s going to want to make sure that all of his friends are safe. At one point we see Iruma springing into action to do something as Asmodeus and Balaam look worried. I’m sure our protagonist will shine once again.
There’s a good amount of confusion about what the nature of these magical beasts are. Are they part of a show or is it something else? It shouldn’t take too long to figure this out as the beasts are shown to be on a rampage. Will we get to see Iruma and Amy Kiriwo come face to face? We’ll have to wait and see!
Now go watch some anime!
